We invite you to step back with us in the past for 6 hours, to discover the old Bucharest in a very enjoyable way, searching hints and resolving riddles.
Itinerary
We start from the beginning, from KM 0 monument of Bucharest, located in the Saint George New Church, built by Constantin Brancoveanu in 1707. We will find out about Bucharest history in the Bucharest History Museum, we visit Hanul cu Tei and the Macca-Villacrosse Passage, we'll admire the great architectures of the old Stavropoleos Church, the National Library, the National Bank and the CEC (the only Romanian bank during communism era) and we'll then step into the National History Museum to see the golden thesaurus of Romania with it's magnificent pieces built from gold and beautiful stones. After a well deserved pause, when you can eat and drink in one of the oldest beer garden in Bucharest - Carul cu Bere (The Beer Chariot) - a place full of tradition, where every ornament has it's own story, we'll go to see the Old Court, where Vlad the Impeller (also known as Dracula), created the document that on 20th of September, 1459, was first talking about the name of Bucharest. The end of this trip ends at a nice place where you can buy beautiful souvenirs and redeem your present if you resolved the riddles :).
